This was a fascinating read right along with book ROBERT E LEE AND ME. I belong to an informal group of ex-southerners who enjoy educating ourselves about our indoctrination growing up in the south. It was inescapable. I learned to ride on 2 Shetland ponies—one was named General Hood and the other one was Traveler. We thought it normal!!
