It’s amazing how many people will never ask a single questions about you, about what you’re doing? Where you’ve been? What you’re thinking? Nothing. Relatives are the worse. I once had a play produced in a festival in NYC — on the way home, I stopped in my hometown. My relatives didn’t know about the production and had no questions about it. It was an important lesson for me to realize that’s simply how they are — and not to expect otherwise. And to look elsewhere for praise and recognition.
