If I were youngish and single and could live anywhere I’d explore the possibilities! Why not live in Amsterdam or Berlin or Bologna? Stretch mentally or culturally see how the world is different and the same, why not? Be twitchy until you long not to be. Think how owning a farm in Africa changed Karen Blixen…or moving to north Florida changed Marjorie kinnan Rawlings? Don’t assume places or people aren’t different because they are. And you can be different too.
