I think every culture has something to learn from other cultures. Each culture possesses "gifts" of intelligence, ingenuity, warmth, compassion, humor, creativity and many more. We shouldn't despise or denigrate any culture's gifts. Or rate them as one being more valuable than another. You experience these gifts when you travel. We all become "better" because of exposure to other cultures. It's a two way street that requires mutual respect for all cultures. On the other hand, each culture has deficits as well which need to recognized within that culture and an effort made to alter or compensate because these deficits can be destructive to all. I think gaining that mutuality of respect is the greatest challenge our society currently faces.
