I also noticed the difficulty he had in speaking. I attributed it to the moments he was going to stutter and slurred instead. But an even worse performance was the following night on PBS News Hour -- an interview with Judy Woodward. You could tell how horrified she was with his trotting out fragments of speeches from the past that had little to do with her questions. I'm hoping something will happen in next two years -- not too catastrophic -- but enough to shake him up (like the incident with Nancy Pelosi's husband shook her up) or set him back physically or just wear him down. I'm not sure who I'd want in his stead but I'd like a lively primary with Amy Klobuchar in the running.
